Project Scope:
UX/UI Development, IFTTT Integration, Android Application

Development Languages:

Personal project born from struggles with the current options available for the Abode Home Security System. Due to the battery powered design of the OEM control panel, there was no option to keep the unit lit up at all times. Due to this, it is difficult to determine the armed status of the system at a glance.

The solution Twisted Pixels developed allowed a wired panel with an always on display, allowing easy confirmation of the system status. Adding to this, we've also added functionality for "snoozing" of the alarm system. Who wants to go through disarming and then re-arming the system just to let the dog out to do it's business or a quick trip to grab something from your car? Simply touch a button on the panel or use one of the third-party hardware buttons to snooze the system for 10, 30 or 60 minutes.

Hi, I'm Josh!

Ever since receiving a shiny new Apple IIc on my 8th birthday, programming has always been an intriguing part of my life. While life's path led me in many directions, my love for programming always endured, and in 2005 I started Twisted Pixels Multimedia as a home for my side projects.

I've been involved in projects ranging in complexity from simple web pages with engaging branding and graceful UI/UX to more complex enterprise ventures with support for back-end databases and hardware integration.

Whatever your project is, I look forward to helping you!
